     Shortly after Jonny Gammage's demise, numerous organizations voiced their outrage. Included among the organizations issuing public press releases were:

The Campus Coalition for Peace and Justice
NAACP
Coalition of African-Americans for Justice
American Civil Liberties Union

     Many activists have been vocal about the situation. Mosted noted of these is Pete Shell who took his actions to the world-wide-web medium. Shell in addition to maintaining the only Gammage related site for nearly one year also moderates a mailing list which discusses events surrounding Jonny Gammage and other similar interests.
