**************************************************************** * The following statement may be attributed to James R. Young, * **************************************************************** "Well, AT&T hood-winked us all in their ads. Now they're at it again "Instead of explaining their misleading advertising, AT&T is attempting to shift the focus away from the real issue -- false advertising. "What AT&T is trying to do is circumvent the role of Congress and the regulators in setting telecommunications policy. Their demands are directly contrary to the wishes of the Senate Commerce Committee. Our customers don't want a judge in Newark deciding telecommunications policy. They're looking to lawmakers in Washington to do that. "AT&T would be will advised to quit grasping for legal straws, and concentrate on bring a 'true voice' to its advertising." |
